Machine simulation is an optional modules that allows users to view machine movements and detect any possible collisions, providing the assurance of a clean operation without having to stop production for dry runs. If a collision is detected, the simulation is paused and a dialog box appears with information on the specific machine components involved.
Multi-Turret Turning is an optional module that is seamlessly integrated into FeatureCAM's existing turning programs.
FeatureCAM 2006 allows tooling and feeds and speeds databases to be effortlessly shared between networked computers.
Support for 3Dconnexion's line of motion controllers is now included with FeatureCAM. 3Dconnexion's motion controller devices, such as the SpaceBall and the SpaceTraveler, enable users to pan, zoom, rotate and spin models with precise light controller movements; while editing, selecting, or drawing simultaneously with the mouse.
FeatureCAM 2006 includes a metallic rendering option in part simulations.
