בקצרה למי שלא מכיר:
MW2 מספר על יחידה אנטי-טרור/קומנדו עילית בינלאומית.
המשחק עושה שימוש נרחב בנשקים תוצרת כחול-לבן.
במצב המשחק רב-המשתתפים יש אפשרות לשחק עם דגל של כ-40 מדינות.
ישראל כאמור לא נמצאת ביניהן, אז חשבתי שיהיה לגיטימי לבקש להוסיף את הדגל.

Dear Activision - Infinity Ward,
My name's Gil and I'm a Modern Warfare 2 fan and a player from Israel. I'd like to congratulate you guys on a superb game and without a doubt what seems to the upcoming 2009's GOTY. I haven’t had much of work, study or sleep since the big November 17th but it sure had been tons of fun thus far. That being said, browsing through the full list of MW2's Unlockable Titles, I noticed there are numerous flags of certain countries. To my surprise and disappointment, the Israeli flag was missing. That is albeit the fact that some of the most popular Israeli-made weapons are being used in MW2 as you are reading this letter right now. Desert Eagle, Tar-21, Mini Uzi and the Red Dot Sight are all Israeli-made and manufactured weaponry. Moreover, the in-game explanation is that the characters play as part of Task Force 141, which allegedly is a multinational military force. Apparently Israel, despite having one of the world's strongest armies as well as some of the best Special Forces out there, was left out. Within the context of the game world, the exclusion of the Israeli flag flat out doesn't make sense. Even Tom Clancy knew that Israel would be included in any fictional multinational force that was fighting non-state actors.
This really strikes me as a bit odd. The contribution of the state of Israel in it's 60 years of existence to nowadays modern warfare is simply unmatched. We have dozens of Counter Terrorist schools across the globe some even within the US Army and Navy. This, the game's plot and use of our "home-made" weapons mentioned in it surely should benefit our fair-share in the game in your eyes. I strongly believe we have all the legitimacy necessary for an Israeli flag as one of the game's Titles. I for once am even up for a fee-based DLC if my request requires that much of a hassle. As a patriot, it will give me and the likes of me great pride in playing along side our most precious and cherished symbol. You guys will be quite surprised as to how many of us play this game for a merely 7 million people country.
