Femap - independent of CAD pre - and post-processor from Siemens PLM Software for engineering analysis of the finite element method (FEM ) (Finite Element Analysis - FEA).


This means that Femap is the link between the user and problem solver - the core of performing calculations in problems of engineering analysis. System Femap, integrated with solver NX Nastran, is based on Microsoft Windows, is a product line Velocity Series and is an independent full-featured environment for modeling, simulation and evaluation results of the analysis of product performance.


Femap 11.1 Win64 system based solver NX Nastran 9.0 Win64 allows: an analysis of the dynamics and strength of structures , machinery and equipment, to receive the solution of unsteady nonlinear three-dimensional problems , problems in the mechanics of composites and composite structures , construction technology and mechanics , heat transfer analysis to obtain the solution of problems gas and fluid mechanics of multi-disciplinary tasks.

Basic modules Femap with NX Nastran allow for the main types of engineering analysis , such as linear static analysis, the frequencies and modes of free vibration , buckling analysis of structures , analysis of problems of steady and unsteady heat transfer , basic features of nonlinear analysis. Basic nonlinear analysis includes the integration of these nonlinearities , as the geometric (large deformation , displacement, load tracking ) and physical ( taking into account nonlinear materials - plasticity , creep, viscoelasticity ) , taking into account contact interaction with small movements - the "line " to the contact record of contact with the condition of continuity . Advanced non-linear module (Advanced Nonlinear) used in the analysis of large non-linearities ( including warping [ Elastomer | elastomers], recording the spatial contact interaction ) , a combination of different types of nonlinearities , as well as the simulation and calculation of ultrafast nonlinear dynamic processes based on the explicit integration scheme . Femap includes three additional modules : Femap Flow Solver - allows the analysis of hydro - and gas dynamics; Femap Advanced Thermal Solver - provides a range of options for analyzing heat and mass transfer , including the simulation of liquid channels involving convection and analysis of hydro - , gas-dynamic flows; Femap Thermal Solver - solution for thermal analysis and heat transfer analysis . Femap is used by specialists design organizations to model complex structures , systems and processes , such as satellites , aircraft, electronic equipment for military use , heavy construction equipment , cranes , marine transport and technological equipment . Femap provides solutions to complex problems of engineering analysis in various industries , such as aerospace , helicopter, defense industry and shipbuilding.
