סולן להקת המטאל הנושאת את שמו, Jon Mikl Thor, המכנה עצמו על שם אל הרעם מהמיתולוגיה הסקנדינבית נפגע מברק במהלך הופעה כאשר ניסה לקפל מוט ברזל בעזרת שיניו.
למרות ש-Thor הצליח לסיים את ההופעה, הוא נלקח לאחר מכן לבית החולים ונראה כי יאלץ לבטל את שאר סיבוב ההופעות המתוכנן שלו. יתכן ושאר האלים מנסים לומר לו משהו... אם כן, זה לא עוצר בעדו, שכן הוא כבר מתכוון להמשיך בסיבוב ההופעות במהלך החורף.

DIMMU BORGIR - Stormblåst Details Revealed
The revamped version of DIMMU BORGIR's classic Stormblåst, which originally appeared in 1996, was recorded again this year. Augmented with bonus tracks (*) and produced by Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY, PAIN), it will be available from Nuclear Blast on November 7th. The album also features MAYHEM's Hellhammer on drums. The complete tracklisting for the album is as follows:
'Alt Lys Er Svunnet Hen', 'Broderskapets Ring', 'Nar Sjelen Hentes Til Helvete', 'Sorgens Kammer - Dell II'*, 'Da Den Kristine Satte Livet Til', 'Stormblast', 'Dodsferd', 'Antikrist', 'Vinder Fra En Ensom Grav', 'Guds Fortapelse - Apenbaring Av Dommedag' and 'Abmaktslave'*.
The final album will include a free and exclusive bonus DVD featuring their full Ozzfest performance from 2004. DVD tracks include:
'Spellbound By The Devil', 'Vredesbyrd', 'The Kings Of The Carnival Creation', 'Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse', 'Mourning Palace'.
As previously reported, Dimmu Borgir are currently writing new material, "a full story/concept album," due for release in 2006 through Nuclear Blast. Hellhammer will be the session drummer used on the as-yet-untitled album.

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY Announce Change In Bassists
The following was posted on the official BLACK LABEL SOCIETY website earlier today:
James Lomenzo who has been supplying the bass for the last couple of years is no longer playing with Black Label Society.
John "JD" DeServio will be playing bass on the Black Label Society Mafia, post-Ozzfest tour. Most of you will remember JD from the early BLS days, and we're excited to have him back rockin the low end once again.
Zakk has always said that the bass position is like "Mount Bassmore" and Zakk enjoys playing with many different bassists.
The decision to part ways with James Lomenzo was a mutual one between James and Zakk.

ARCH ENEMY Announce New Guitarist
ARCH ENEMY have now settled on Fredrik Akesson as a replacement for guitarist Chris Amott for the continued Doomsday Machine touring campaign. Greek axeman Gus G (FIREWIND, NIGHTRAGE) filled in for Chris Amott on the band's recent OZZFEST 2005 outing. Michael Amott comments:
“This guy, he just simply kills on the axe! Rhythms and leads – he’s really got a shredding and musical style. He was down here rehearsing with us last week and we had a great time playing music and hanging out. We are eagerly looking forward to hitting the road again, this time with Fredrik on board the good ship Arch Enemy.“
