רועי קליין היה סגן מפקד גדוד סמג"ד 51 של גולני.בעת שהיית הגדוד ומס' גדודים אחרים בבנת-ג'בל ,נזרק רימון אל עבר בית בו נכחו קליין וגדודו.קליין זינק על הרימון בקריאת:"שמע ישראל" ונהרג.ובכך,הציל את שאר החיילים. (מלחמת לבנון השנייה)
