Exodus vs Kreator
exodus
Exodus is a thrash metal band formed in 1982 in San Francisco, California, by Kirk Hammett, Tom Hunting, Paul Baloff and Gary Holt. In 1983 Kirk Hammett left to join Metallica and was replaced by Rick Hunolt; Rob McKillop was recruited as a bassist. Shortly before the release of Pleasures Of The Flesh in 1987, Paul Baloff left and was replaced by Steve "Zetro" Souza, who also sang for Legacy, which was an early version of Testament.
Exodus split in 1992, reforming 1996 with new bassist Jack Gibson.
In 2005 Rick Runolt decided to leave the band to concentrate on his family life. He has been replaced by former Heathen guitarist Lee Altus.

Kreator
Kreator influences. Their style of music is similar with their compatriots and originally started under the name Tormentor. Starting their career in the early 1980s, they played thrash metal with heavy Slayer and VenomDestructionSodom (usually referred by the fans as the Trinity of Thrash Metal). They differ from the Bay Area Thrashers by their brutality and speed.
