First off reboot the computer then go into "safe Mode". Then
right-click on "My Computer" and select "properties". From here select
"Hardware" then "Device Manager". Go down till it say "Sound, video and
game controllers" and open it up. "Uninstall" everything in there (Do
note this will remove all purposes to play music from here forth till
you get the correct version or a updated file in place). Save the
current configuration and exit. Restarting this time into normal mode,
once in let the computer think about it for a moment or two and you
should then recieve your files (Do note you need your current cd rom in
the drive to recieve them, either the windows cd rom or the
manufactures of the sound hardware cd rom). Now you you should recieve
music to your speakers and can talk through your microphone if you have
one. If you don't see anything wrong with the cabling then follow the
fourth step.
