Doc's AAM Tool -It is a tool designed for the purpose of tuning EIDE harddisks:
increases the performance of your harddisk resp. reduces itґs noise level by adjusting the Automatic Acoustic Management (AAM) settings;
immediate control of effectiveness of any changed settings (benchmark for access time determination included);
supports device models from all vendors;
detailed device information like product name, serial number, available U/DMA and ATA modes, features and native capacity;
supports devices attached to the 3rd/4th IDE channel and and many external host controllers with Promise and Highpoint chip;
for Windows 95, 98, Me, NT4, 2000 and XP;
SFX file fits on one floppy disk.
