Berlin, April 13, 2006 - With the new O&O FormatRecovery V4, Berlin-based
O&O Software has perfectly supplemented its line of data recovery products.
O&O FormatRecovery enables the recovery of data from formatted or newly
partitioned storage media.
O&O FormatRecovery slots in seamlessly between O&O UnErase and O&O
DiskRecovery and users now have the luxury of being able to select the ideal
product best qualified to solve each respective data recovery problem.
By use of a specially developed algorithm, O&O FormatRecovery V4 can search
for files on formatted or deleted disks and restore them even when data is
heavily fragmented.
O&O FormatRecovery enables the recovery of formatted storage media, including
all file system information. This means systems can be used again immediately
upon completion of the recovery session.
To recover data from damaged storage media O&O FormatRecovery first detects
and then ignores defective sectors. It then proceeds with the recovery of data
from storage media that is damaged but still accessible.
O&O InstantFormatRecovery enables a recovery session without prior software
installation. In an emergency situation this means data located on damaged
storage media may only be read. This prevents data being fully or partially
overwritten during an installation and can thereby avoid a potentially fatal
loss of data.
Previous knowledge or experience are not required as O&O FormatRecovery boasts
an easily operated on-screen Assistant which helps guide users step by step
