So what does Tomb Raider Gold actually feature? Well naturally the package includes your full copy of Tomb Raider, easily one of the best adventure/platformers for the PC. Other new features include a screen saver, calendar and plenty of sound clips from Lara Croft adventures. The second disc includes demo of Tomb Raider 2 and other upcoming Eidos titles.

The big addition though is the four new add-on levels to the Tomb Raider adventure. Two of the levels take place in an uncharted tomb in search for the "Shadow of the Cat," more or less a cat statue. The second two levels take place in the alien city and provide unexpected Tomb Raider storyline.

Meanwhile the original Tomb Raider has been left untouched with the same classic adventure gaming. The graphics are well rendered 3D visuals with amazing detail but suffer from low frame rates and an unclean visual look. The soundtrack is also mostly sparse while the effects are hardly impressive. The gameplay is pretty much what you expect from a hybrid adventure/platformer with plenty of puzzle solving, exploration, jumping and disposing off endangered species.
