שנת 2007 בפתח, יצרניות התוכנה עובדות במרץ על תוכנות לשנה הבאה וגם בסימנטק לא יושבים בשקט.
סימנטק היא חברה מוכרת בשוק העולמי ומפתחת תוכנות שונות בכל התחומים לבתי עסק גדולים ברחבי העולם כמו גם תוכנות למשתמש הביתי. חלקנו אולי יותר מכירים את השם "נורטון", אבל נורטון הוא בעצם מותג של סימנטק.
