מערכת ההפעלה החדשה מבית מיקרוסופט עוברת לשלב הייצור, לקראת היציאה לשוק באוקטוברמיקרוסופט הודיעה אתמול שהעבודה על Windows 7 הושלמה. יצרנית מערכת ההפעלה הכריזה על כך שקוד המוצר הושלם והמערכת עוברת לשלב ה-RTM, צעד אחרון לפני תחילת הייצור והתחלת השיווק ב-22 לאוקטובר.
פרסום
מהחברה נמסר כי זהו סופו של תהליך שהחל לפני שלוש שנים ושהקוד נחתם למעשה כבר ב-13 לחודש. גרסת מערכת ההפעלה שתצא לשוק היא 7600.16385, שעברה את כל המבדקים ועברה אישור סופי של מהנדסי החברה. עוד לפני ההכרזה עליה כסופית כבר הספיקה הגרסה לדלוף לאתרי שיתוף הקבצים.
על מנת לגבש את הגרסה הסופית נעזרה החברה ביותר מעשרה מיליון אנשים שהשתתפו בתוכנית חוויית המשתמש של מיקרוסופט ובקבוצה גדולה של בוחני בטא. בנוסף ל-Windows 7 הושלמה העבודה גם על גרסת השרתים של מערכת ההפעלה - Windows server 2008 R2.
בניגוד לקודמתה, חלונות ויסטה, זכתה מערכת ההפעלה החדשה בעיקר לביקורות חיוביות, כשרוב המבקרים מציינים את הביצועים שלה ואת ממשק המשתמש הנוח.
מערכת ההפעלה תשווק במספר גרסאות, מגרסת ה-Starter הבסיסית ועד לגרסת ה-Ultimate הכולל מאפיינים מתקדמים. מיקרוסופט כבר תמחרה את החבילות השונות ואף החלה במכירה מוקדמת שזכתה להצלחה רבה, אך עדיין לא פורסמו מחירים לגרסאות הישראליות של מערכת ההפעלה שתשווק בארץ במקביל לעולם.
