המשחק החדש בסדרת משחקי ניהול הכדורגל מציג שיפורים לטקטיקה, למערכת העברת השחקנים ולמשחק הרשת. בנוסף, נעשה שדרוג מקיף לשיטת צבירת הניסיון של השחקנים והוספו טורנירים רבים, עם אפשרות להשתתף במונדיאל.
