מאיה (Maya) היא תוכנת גרפיקה ממוחשבת מקצועית המשמשת ליצירת גרפיקה או אנימציה תלת-ממדית. התוכנה פותחה במקור על ידי חברת Alias Systems Corporation אשר נמצאת בבעלות חברת Autodesk החל מ10 בינואר 2006. התוכנה נמצאת בשימוש רחב היקף בתעשיות הקולנוע והטלוויזיה כמו גם בתעשיות משחקי המחשב והדמיות אדריכליות. מאיה מכילה כלים רבים עבור יצירת מודלים, יצירת אנימציות, הדמיית ביגוד ושיער, וכדומה.
קוד הליבה של התוכנה כתוב בשפת התכנות C++.

בתחילה התוכנה הייתה זמינה רק עבור מערכות ההפעלה IRIX. כיום התוכנה זמינה גם כן עבור מערכות ההפעלה: חלונות, Mac OS X ולינוקס.
קיימים כיום שתי גרסאות מסחריות לתוכנה:
גירסת "Maya Complete" - הגרסה הבסיסית של התוכנה אשר מסוגלת ליצור מודלים תלת ממדים ולהפיק אנימציות תלת ממדיות. מחיר החבילה הבסיסית נע בסביבות 2,000 דולארים.
גירסת "Maya Unlimited" (הגרסה המתקדמת של התוכנה אשר מכילה בנוסף ליכולות של הגרסה הבסיסית יכולות יכולות מתקדמות להדמיית נוזל, שיער, ביגוד, ועוד). מחירה החבילה המתקדמת נע בסביבות 7,000 דולארים.
בנוסף, קיימת גם תוכנת לימוד לתוכנת Maya בשם "Maya Personal Learning Edition" אשר זמינה להורדה בחינם.

היסטוריה
פיתוח התוכנה החל בשנת 1998 על ידי חברת Alias Systems Corporation. ב10 בינואר 2006 נרכשה החברה על ידי חברת Autodesk (הבעלים של תוכנת 3ds Max).

שימו לב: זו רק ההתקנה של מאיה בלי התוספות שהוכנסו לחבילה בגירסה הזו (Toxit ו-MatchMover) ובלי ה-Documantation. מי שמעוניין בכל התוכנות והתיעוד שבחבילה ולא רק בתוכנה המלאה, מוזמן לגשת לאתר אוטודסק ולהוריד משם את ה-Free Trial (שלא כמו בגירסת 2009, ה-Trial הזה הוא חבילת תוכנה מלאה שאפשר להשתמש בה ללא סיריאל במשך שלושים יום. אבל ניתן גם להפוך אותה למלאה).
