נתונים רשמיים מ-EA על משחק Need For Speed הבא, שידענו שמגיע בנובמבר, אבל בזאת הסתכמו ידיעותינו עד עכשיו. המשחק יקרא NFS: The Run, ויהיה משחק מירוצים\מרדף מבוסס עלילה שיקח אותנו דרך חלקים נרחבים מארה"ב, מסן פרנסיסקו במערב ועד לניו יורק במזרח. השוטרים "לא יהיו היחידים שרודפים אחרי השחקן", שלפי הטיזר ילחם על חייו כל קילומטר מהדרך.
The Run נבנה על ה-Frostbite 2, המנוע שבבסיס Battlefield 3, כך שהוא אמור להציע גרפיקה מחזית האפשרי כיום.
המשחק מפותח על ידי Black Box, יוצרת רוב משחקי NFS של העשור האחרון (אבל לא השניים האחרונים), ויצא ל-PC/Xbox360/PS3 ב-15 בנובמבר. גרסאות Wii ו-DS נפרדות יצאו גם הן באותו תאריך.
